Story

Update 28th February 2012: London Ultra 50km completed!! What it has shown me is that this challenge is going to hurt alot, but again pain is temporary. Please keep supporting me and spread the word.

My name is Danny Slay, I am a serving Fire Officer with Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and currently seconded to CFOA National Resilience. I have now registered for what will be my biggest ever challenge in life, the London 2 Brighton Challenge.

Please follow my blog with updates and more at 'Running Away'

This event is a 100Km (62ish miles) run/jog/walk or even crawl, from Richmond Park, London to Brighton Seafront. Starting on the 12th of May 2012 and ending sometime on the 13th and going through the night.

I do not underestimate the enormity of the challenge, but my suffering will be temporary compared to the suffering of those effected by Cancer. It has taken members of my family, close friends and those I will never know.

So, please support my fundraising attempts so that some good can come from what I am prepared to do.

Many thanks

Danny
