Story

Danny Dyer's 'PIMP' film made £205; can we raise more in support of the women he 'jokes' about abusing?

Actor Danny Dyer's new film, 'Pimp' was released this weekend.  24 people went to see it and it made £205 (http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/blog/article/18878/danny-dyers-latest-film-pimp-bombs-at-cinema.html).

Danny was last in the news, when his advice column in lads' magazine, Zoo, recommended a reader "cut your ex's face so no one will want her."

He has since claimed this was a joke. Not so for the 2 UK women each week killed by their partners or former partners.

It seems that Danny's opinions have not helped his film career.  Let's see how many more people in England are willing to give to support the women who have experienced the kinds of violence that Dyer thinks it's funny to joke about, than are willing to see his films.

...Who knows? Maybe Danny will see the error of his ways and pitch in a little of the cheque he made on 'Pimp'?
