The Lowe Syndrome Charity is run by parents for medical research for Lowe Syndrome (& Dent's disease) families. Babies are born with multiple symptoms including cataracts in both eyes, failure to thrive, weak muscles and bones, kidney problems, cysts & autism.

Story

Danny Farmer is a 48 year old Cabbie from Wapping who has taken part in several cycle challenges throughout Europe to raise money for the Lowes Syndrome .

The Lowe Syndrome initiates and funds medical research into the Lowe Syndrome, a disease where children are born with cataracts in both eyes ,hypotomia ,kidney disorder ,mental impairement and autistic spectrum behaviour.

From the 21st-26th May 2009 Dan took part in a gruelling 350k bike ride across the mountains of Sicily to raise much needed funds for the charity.

20k from the end of the challenge he fell of his bike during a 23k descent f rom the live Volcano , Mount Etna and broke his wrist and leg .

All funds generated by Dans outstanding efforts will go directly to the Lowes trust
