Some background on the charity for you - 

Gary and Lou Peters, two very close friends, were in Ronald McDonald House early in 2004 with their family, and I saw at first hand what brilliant work the place does.  Their daughter, Willow was seriously ill at Guy's Hospital and the House allowed them to stay together right next door to Willow.  

They were there for a week, while Willow received the best care available at Guy's.  She didn't survive, and it was obviously a terrible time for them, but they were able to stay together as a family through it all thanks to the accomodation provided by the charity.
