I have foolishly agreed to compete in the 2008 BUPA Great South Run which takes place around Portsmouth on Sunday 26th October. Having never competed in a run before and my weakness for red wine & chips, the 10 mile run is going to be a real challenge! Training is going OK but it's hard work dragging myself out 3 or 4 times a week.

As well as helping me to get fit and lose a few excess pounds, I have decied to support Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is a really great charity I came across in one of my previous jobs, which grants wishes to children fighting life-threatening illnesses. I'd be most grateful if you could sponsor me to complete the run and help make somebody's life a little better in their hour of need.
