Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. From 23rd to 26th July 2008 I will be cycling from London to Paris with a group of 60 people to raise money for Christian Aid. We will be setting off from Bexley on 23rd July and cycling the 80 miles to Dover before catching the ferry to Calais. The next day we will cycle 78 miles from Calais to the historic city of Arras. The third day we will be cycling through the valley of the Somme covering 73 miles between Arras and Compiegne. On the last day we will ride the 66 miles from Compiegne to Paris where we will ride up the Champs Elysees and round the Arch de Triomphe before finishing in the Jardins du Trocadero. We arrive In Paris the day before the Tour de France finishes there, so the greats of the cycling world will have the opportunity to follow in our wheel tracks! You can follow my desperate attempts to get fit for the ride on my online blog: http://claudius-thelongandwindingroad.blogspot.com/ The money that will be raised from this event will help some of the poorest people in the world.Christian Aid works in over 50 countries and helps people regardless of their faith, race or nationality.Your money could make a big difference to the people that Christian Aid works with. £18.80 would buy a sheep for a Bolivian indigenous community and £31 would pay for the materials for all the participants in an HIV/Aids training session in Ghana. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Aid will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Danny
