I am running two events for Combat Stress (http://www.combatstress.org.uk), a charity that helps the psychiatric casualties of war. They are doing some great work and helping many service personnel – just have a look at their website. Please give to them, and the work they are doing, and forget about my efforts – I’m just a marketing tool!

As I said, I will be running two events for Combat Stress - the first will be the Asics British 10K (London) on the 6th July 08; I will be completing this in my Army combat uniform complete with bergan (big bag) and most worryingly - big boots!!

The second event will be the Run to the Beat London half marathon on the 5th October 08. I will really be going for this one, so no uniform, but instead some worryingly tight short shorts and maybe even a 118 118 style vest!

And I pledge that the more cash I get, the tighter and shorter those shorts will be - or the longer and baggier they will be depending on your point of view!!

Whatever you can give is great (I sound like Terry Wogan), a few examples of what certain amounts of your cash will do:

£30.00 pays for a session in the Activities Centre

£150.00 pays for an hour of psychiatric counselling

£160.00 pays for a full day's rehabilitation treatment at one of theSpecialist Treatment Centres.
