Welcome to my personal fundraising site.

This is my first official attempt at fundraising and my target is (hopefully) achievable and realistic.

The four of us have set up our own individual sites so we can send to our families and work colleagues seperately to our circle of friends ,this way we don't ask the same people four times !!

Our aim is simple: to walk over a pre-determined route for a continuous 50 miles over fells and moors.This is clearly a day night thing and we have equipped ourselves with relevant safety equipment,compasses,body bags (!!!!!) and head lights etc..

In return, the money we raise goes towards a tremendous worth while cause and one that one member of our team has had a family member looked after by a few years ago.They offer care and nursing at the most difficult of times and do so day in ,day out.Their drive and passion to make the last days comfortable is hard to comprehend yet they do so and to an exemplorary level.

We are just four people who back in the eighties ,at the tender ages of just 17 ventured overseas on the longest coach ride ever to Rimini in Italy for our "first" official independent holiday abroad.

Now.........having hardly changed,we are all over 40 years of age and have been press ganged into this by Mike (second left) who thought it a good idea to walk for 20+ hours in one go over terrain best suited to sherpas !

But,signed up we are and in May we kick off at 7am on the 17th and with our determination we will ,as a four, complete the trek.

Myself,Mike,Kurt "Dave" & Doug (as the photo is) are not looking for massive amounts but the odd £1 here and there really adds up.

No pressure and no pre-judgements, just a simple request to help others if you can.

As a collective we will top it up to ensure we achieve £1000 and so give a little to others who give so much already.
