2018 Football to Amsterdam - London start · 1 June 2018 to 3 June 2018 ·

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

For those of you that don't know, my dad was recently diagnosed with advanced Prostate Cancer. This was a big shock to my family and me. To try and help with the fight against this awful condition, I’m taking part in Football to Amsterdam, a two day, 145-mile pedal pilgrimage to the Dutch capital backed by the EFL and the League Managers Association.

My dad has always loved football although some would question this with his choice of team, Millwall! At least he has some sense now and also follows my team, Spurs. I thought that taking on the bike ride would not only be a personal challenge but also a chance to raise some money for the charity.

So, it's time to start training and getting ready for June. The furthest I have ridden is about 70 miles so thIs is a big step up for me but I am very determined to finish it.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It’s a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match. This is simply not acceptable but Prostate Cancer UK know that with your help we can turn it around. Time is against us but now is the time to take action, to make this a disease the next generation need not fear.

Please sponsor me if you would like to help to make a difference.

Thank you so much for your support.
