We (Nicole Farmer, Sara Bartlett, Chris Treacher, Mark Anderson, Tony Derbyshire and Darren Broad) have decided to do something called the Ultimate Challenge to raise awareness and money for The Rarer Cancers Foundation. The challenge consists of a series of 5 events running up to the Olympics. These events are: An Olympic Distance Triathlon (1500m open water swim, 23 mile bike ride and 6 mile run) a 100 mile bike ride, a 6 mile open water swim, run a matathon and canoe 125 miles (Devises to Westminster).

The first event was the Swanage Tri on the 14th August, followed by the Bath to London 102 bike ride on the 28th August. The Canoe race is in April 2012 and the swim and marathon have yet to be organised. We are trying to do as many events together but sometimes this does not happen and team members are completing events on their own to satisfy the challenge. 

We will keep you updated on our progress via this page and possibly twitter (when Nicole sets it up) and facebook (for those of the team that have it! - send a friend request to me if you want to see how we are doing!) Tony recently completed his 100 mile bike ride after not being able to join us on the Bath to London ride. Well done Tony for completing this in 5 hours and 13 minutes including stops - fantastic!
