Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

The hard & sobering facts: -
Over 47000 men are diagnosed with prostate
cancer in UK every year, that's 130 per day.

  • Over 330,000 men in UK are living with prostate
cancer - 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.

  • Every hour one man in UK dies from prostate
cancer - that's more than 11,000 men in UK every year.

After learning more about Prostate Cancer from one of my
colleagues, Kevin, who himself has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer
at under 50 years of age (a 2 min Video of Kevin’s story can be accessed via
this link:
https://rbs.qumucloud.com/view/LotzNDBrJoH
), a number of us are determined to raise funds
and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK to try to help try to
ensure that the children of today never have to deal with this
indiscriminate disease.

On 19th May, I and sixty of my friends and colleagues at
NatWest, including Kevin himself, will be walking a marathon (26.2 miles)
from the Olympic Park to Richmond Park - please support me by donating via my
Just Giving Page ………………..
