Hi thanks for visiting my just giving page :)

Im Darren a 28 year old father of 2 little boys. I have decided that on new years eve 2013 im going to run the 5k race in mountain ash called the Nos Galan. Now to some of you you may think 5k? Thats no big deal but to me its a huge deal as 6 months ago I couldnt have run 1k without being out of breath! Since march I have lost 4 stone to date and I train almost ever day running a few miles here and there.

my eldest son ben used to attend a pre-school in merthyr tydfil and there he met a little friend jayden! They got on well and together I think they kept the staff on their toes! Ben was always amazed with jaydens glasses, even though he wore glasses himself he was aways more impressed with jaydens! 

A few weeks back my wife told me she had heared some sad news about jayden that he had been diagnosed with cancer but the good news was it was the most treatable type of childrens cancer. Together we have been following jaydens journey on facebook and we decided that id like to put my hard work to help raise money so my wife spoke to andrea jaydens mum and she decided latch deserved the money that I raise so here I am! I have set up this page so we can get the word spread and get as many donations as possible!
