Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. Please see below for our reasons for fundraising this year.
WE ARE ALL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liz and myself took part in the London Marathon on Sunday and completed it in just over 5hrs.
It was a hot day but everything went well.
We are of course very grateful for any further donations to this page in helping us towards our target.
Many thanks
Darren and Liz
We both ran for Cystic Fibrosis.
This is a condition which has come to our notice in the last few years.
In February 2007 Joshua Davey son of mutual friend and collegue Simon was born and it was later discovered that he had inherited Cystic Fibrosis.
As many of you will know i use my limited ability to run a long way to raise money for charity. My last effort was in completing the 2007 NYC marathon for Prostate Cancer.
This year i was joined by my wife Liz embarking on her first Marathon attempt.
We hope to raise as much money as possible for Cystic Fibrosis and hope that the money we raise can go towards helping finding a cure for CF and of course help Joshua.
Many of you visiting this site will either know me, Liz and know what a massive achievement the 26.2 mile course was or Simon and know how much time and effort he and his wife put into raising money for CF.
Thanks ever so much! Darren and Liz
