London to Brighton Challenge · 25 May 2013 to 26 May 2013 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After a couple of year's break from fundraising runs I'm again supporting the Disabilities Trust, a leading national charity (based in my home town of Burgess Hill), providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities as well as children and adults with autism. For more details of their work, please visit http://www.disabilities-trust.org.uk/about-us.aspx
My previous fundraising for the Group has involved running the London Marathon 5 times, so this year I'm (literally) taking things a little bit further and attempting to run from London to Brighton, a distance of 60 miles/100km. This is organised as a two day event (http://www.london2brightonchallenge.com/), but I'll be aiming to start and finish on the same day (Saturday May 25th), ideally all in daylight. The distance is far in excess of what I've covered before though, so I don't really have any idea how I am going to do........
I'll be doing some other events as part of my training including :
-Steyning Stinger Marathon March 3rd
-Brighton Marathon April 14th
-London Marathon April 21st
-Three Forts Challenge (27m) May 5th
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. If you are outside of the UK, donating is equally easy using visa/mastercard
I'd appreciate any support you are able to give as I enter a period of gruelling training over the next 3 months. Thanks so much for your support.
