St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!!

Earlier this year I decided to run for St. Gemma's Hospice as many years ago they looked after my Grandma Rose after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Very recently our nextdoor neighbours John & Rose lost their 29 year old daughter Karen (pictured opposite) to a very rare form of cancer. She spent the last part of her life in St. Gemma's and her family can't speak highly enough about the care & support that they provided to Karen and the whole family.

Despite never having the pleasure to get to know Karen, I have decided to dedicate the run to her and would ask you to dig deep to a very worthy cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St. Gemma's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
