Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

St Gemma's Hospice is a local, independent charity providing the best possible care and support for people in Leeds with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. We support patients and their families, both in the Hospice and in the community, at any stage of their illness.

Story

Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...

I've decided to make this run my last and where better to end than where it all began - up in Newcastle running the Great North Run.

I've now completed 5 half marathons and 1 full over the past few years and as most of you will probably know I'm not getting any younger so have decided to hang up my trainers and stick to more relaxing fitness routines before I do myself an injury!!

I have asked people to donate to St Gemma's Cancer Hospice a few times now as they are a fantastic charity and deserve every penny.

So, if everyone could at least donate £1 I should hit my target for the hospice and retire with my head held high. Please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks!!

Darren
