Hello you generous people!
As some of you may or may not know, as i approach my 30th birthday and my football ravaged knees start to make me aware that they don't much like me, i am about to attempt my first ever "proper" run. As a lifetime non-distance runner, 10K is well enough to be starting with and is still a tough challenge for me.
So where do you fit in? Well i am hoping that all of you will be good enough to dig deep (either in your own or someone else's pockets) and sponsor me whatever you can for the charity i am running for. That charity is the Isle of White Society for the Blind. My lovely Nan spent many years working with the blind on the Isle of White, and in recent years has unfortunately become a victim of Macular Degeneration herself.
Going blind is perhaps one of the most frightening and hard to cope with conditions that can happen, and i hope we can support the work they do with a fundraising donation.
