Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As many of you will know, I've been unwell recently, which recently culminated in an unconscious me being taken by ambulance to hospital for the treatment of tachycardia and various other nasties. Thanks to the hard work and patience of the staff at the Royal Sussex County Hospital I am alive and well, but it could quite easily have gone the other way. Particularly where, in a semi-conscious state a few days later, I kept trying to pull out the very cables and tubes keeping me alive!!

I am eternally grateful to the doctors and nurses that worked hard to save my life and am, thus, doing a few things to raise money, so please sponsor me!

Firstly, I'm giving up smoking! This of course has the added bonus of making me healthier (please note that smoking had nothing to do with what happened...)

Secondly, I'm going to train for and run a marathon - I'm aiming for the 2009 London Marathon.

I'm also giving all the profits from my website (www.darrengrover.co.uk) to the cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Friends Of Brighton & Hove Hospitals gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
