For over 30 years, the Family Holiday Association has been working to give underprivileged children experiencing difficult circumstances the chance to have a much-needed break away with their family, usually at the British seaside.

Dear All,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My chosen charity is the Family Holiday Association, a well established charity that does lots of excellent work raising money to send carefully chosen disadvantaged families on a well deserved break. Please click here for more details or scroll down for some actual quotes from families that have benefitted.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Family Holiday Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.


As a little incentive for me, and to raise some extra cash for the FHA charity, if anyone would like to add £5 to their donation should I break the 4 hour barrier, then please add a '5' at the end of your (hopefully) message of support after you have donated. Just for the record, I have never attempted to run a full marathon before (although I have eaten quite a few!), and 4 hours is verrry fast for a novice!

Any donation will be gratefully received and mean a lot to both me and the charity. I thank you in advance, both for sponsorship you give and also for taking the time to read through this page.
