My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me, Darren Marsh online.
I will be taking part in a charity bike ride from London to Reims on the 16th to 20th  of June 2006, this is to raise funding for research into Lowes Syndrome.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lowe Syndrome Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. If you want to find out more about the great charity Lowestrust please see this web site www.lowetrust.com/

The date of the ride is starting to creep even closer and the fear of having to complete the ride is starting to become a reality. I have been heading out on the bike for a ride most evenings. But the furthest I have managed to complete is 50miles in one day! And not without saddle sore!! So if you can donate me some padded cycle shorts that would be super! Joking aside if you can spare any money at all please find the time to give a little money towards getting medical research to find a cure for this disease.  You can either pay now or by pressing the pay on completion button give your donation when I complete the ride (which as you can see by the photo above should be easy with my super hero skills!)

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Lowe Syndrome Trust

Charity Registration No. 1081241

The Lowe Syndrome Trust is a UK Charity formed in June 2000 by parents of a Lowe syndrome child. The charity supports families and initiates and funds medical research into Lowe Syndrome. Lowe Syndrome is a genetic disorder that can occur with no family history, affecting boys and multiple physical and mental handicaps including cataracts in both eyes, muscle weakness (hypotonia or floppy baby syndrome), kidney problems, cysts, brittle bones, arthritis, poor growth, mental impairment with behaviour problems (autistic spectrum disorder) and epilepsy. Sadly the life expectancy for these children is short due to the complications of the disease and the lack of funding to find a cure.
