UPDATE:  18/09/09 The walk is tomorrow.  Not only will I be taking part in the walk, but I'll be filming it and interviewing a couple of the organisers.

I'm pulling away from Karen in the fundraising stakes, so the bonus head shaving will almost certainly be going ahead on Tuesday!

My employer will match any funds I raise to a maximum of £500.  I'm getting so close to that.  How about you help me make it there!

Karen and I will be undertaking a 6 mile walk for research around Bristol wearing bright orange Myeloma UK T-shirts on Saturday 19th September 2009. We are hoping that between us we can raise at least £300.

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK focusing exclusively on myeloma, an incurable, complex, debilitating and destructive cancer of the bone marrow. My mother has been diagnosed with this cancer, and raising money for research into it is especially important to us.

Even more important then that, I'm in direct fundraining competition with Karen and MUST raise more then her!  My ego is at stake!

We'll also be filming the event!

As an added incentive to Di Summerhayes, if I manage to raise £500 AND I beat Karen, I will allow her to shave my head!  I feel quite safe in this regard!
