In 2010, my son Mackenzie (Mac) was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Following radiotherapy, we had six months where we were able to spend quality time with Mac taking him to Disneyland, Legoland, getting him to meet his heroes when we went to the Top Gear recordings and buying him all the lego that he could build. Sadly, the tumour became terminal in April 2011 and Acorns looked after both Mac and the rest of my family both before and after he passed away. To this day we are still being looked after by Acorns in various ways and we want to raise money so that other families and other children can benefit from the superb care and support that Acorns offer.
