Story
Jon, Dave and Cary learnt to cycle together many years ago and have decided it's time to ditch the stabilisers (and the armbands) and give themselves a challenge of a life time.....one they'll never forget!
We've signed ourselves up for the Death Valley Challenge, which will mean cycling over 250 gruelling miles through the spectacular Nevada desert, climbing to around 5000 ft and enduring 25 mile climbs in the famous desert heat.
As mad as this sounds, it's for a very important and serious cause. MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is one of the world's leading humanitarian organisations providing conflict-affected countries with a real chance for a better future. They clear the remnants of conflict from some of the world's poorest nations, educate and employ local people and help provide solutions for those trapped by poverty and economic devastation through no fault of their own.
To make this event possible, we need to raise a minimum of £9,000 and this is where we hope you will come in. We need your help to raise this by donating what you can as sponsorship. Any amount no matter how large or small will be appreciated, but we're sure you will agree that this is a great cause to be involved in so please in the words of our trainer ‘dig deep'.
Thanks,
Jon, Dave & Cary
Please don't hesitate to forward this to any family or friends who you might want to help the cause!!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Mines Advisory Group gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
