Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Marathon de Sables is said to be "the toughest footrace in the world", with Entrants covering 151 miles in 6 days (6 marathons back to back) through the Sahara Desert. As if that is not deemed to be tough enough, we also have to carry all our own food, water, clothing and bedding throughout the course of the race!

We came up with the idea to really challenge ourselves after completing several short runs and 10k events. In conversation someone mentioned this Extreme (crazy maybe?) race in the desert and after a few glasses of red wine the Marathon des Sables was investigated and a plan and a program was hatched.

The trip is fully funded by us, so all sponsorship raised will go straight to our chosen charities, SPIFOX and  Prostate Scotland (Prostate cancer research).  All monies donated on JustGiving will be split 50/50 between the two charities (SPIFOX will organise this on our behalf).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now!  Many Thanks.

Tim and Dave
