We offer expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness

Story

Match For The Day is a 24 hour football match raising money for Marie Curie.  We organised the first MFTD in 2014, inspired by my Mum who was battling cancer so bravely at the time.

Before she passed away, my Mum knew that we were planning to organise another MFTD and requested that it was in aid of Marie Curie.  The care they gave her both during the years of treatment she had and especially during her last weeks and hours was amazing. As she said herself on numerous occasions-  "it was 7 star!!"

The way they looked after and supported both my Mum and the rest of the family made such a difference during what was an extremely difficult time and this is our way of showing our appreciation as well as helping to to raise money so that others in the same situation are able to benefit.
