Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Dave Barnes & Pete Fillmore are doing this challenge to raise money for Oxford Children’s Hospital campaign, it is a local charity that has a close personal links for us as Lily, Dave's daughter, needed the use of their special care services for the first month of her life, she was born 7 weeks early and was pretty small, the incubator and other equipment that helped to save her life was mainly purchased by donation so we wanted to do something to help the children of the future and show our thanks to the expertise of the staff that cared for her.

We also have a close friend who's 2 year old daughter has recently had life saving heart surgery, as well as the surgery Rosa has thankfully been under close medical supervision for all of her life by the team at the Oxford Children's Hospital.

We also have a number of other friends that have received expert care from this hospital so this is hopefully a very big thank you from all of us. Any donation you can give will be greatly appreciated.

The London to Paris bike ride takes place in September 2009, it covers 500km in just 4 days, Dave and Pete have committed to a rigorous training regime and also to raise a minimum of £4000, so we have a big challenge both physical and financial but one that couldn't be more worth while.

Please help as much as you can and Thank you.
