Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. Like most of our bright ideas this one came about in the pub! We're always up for an adventure and because we have a close association with St Oswald's this seemed like a great way to test ourselves and raise money for a really good cause. Over the 9 days we will be hiking for 3 days and cycling for 2 over mountainous terrain. We then work as volunteers in the Casa Sperantei Hospice in Brasov for 3 days before coming home. Our fundraising got off to a great start with a Tapas Night at El Castano resaurant in Jesmond, the event was a sell out with over 90 people attending. Our sincere thanks go to all who took the time to come out and support us. Two days later we had a very productive day of bag packing at Marks and Spencer at the Silverlink. Thanks to friends and relatives who helped out. Many thanks also go to the young firefighters who did a bag pack at Morrison's Tynemouth store and raised a subsantial sum for us. Our most recent event was a Race Night at Preston Grange Community Centre on October 16th. The evening was great fun and judging by the feedback we've had since everyone who attended really enjoyed it. Next up is a Quiz Night at the same venue on November 7th.
