Hi everyone!
I am running the Virgin London Marathon for the first time in 2010 for Clatterbridge Cancer Research.
Clatterbridge Cancer Research is a charitable organisation committed to advancing the regional fight against cancer and they are very close to my heart due to spending a lot of time there whilst they treat my Dad during his fight against lung cancer since being diagnosed last year.
For nearly 30 years they have been working in the North West of England funding world class research to further our understanding of how to prevent and diagnose cancer, and how to treat it with the most effective ongoing care.
I have a long, exciting and maybe somewhat difficult time ahead in order to be ready for the marathon next year but I believe it will definitely be worth the effort. This will be my first attempt at a marathon and is a definite attempt to prove something to myself as well. I will be putting up a website dedicated to everything from how my training is going to who is involved in my fundraising efforts at http://www.davebrown.co.uk
