Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

BRACE funds world-class clinical and laboratory research into dementia to find better treatments, achieve earlier diagnosis, and, one day, find a cure. We do this by funding PhD studentships, early-stage pilot projects, and the South West Dementia Brain Bank. Together we will defeat dementia.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the 2009 London Marathon.

Well, as you can see I completed the 2009 London Marathon. My finishing time was 3:46:57 which placed me 6041! I had secretly hoped for under 3 1/2 hours but am delighted to be under the 4 hour mark, it was a very hot day and cramp at about mile 23 didn't help to say the least! A great day and the crowds were amazing cheering us on all the way. My legs are like lead today (day after) and stairs are a killer, but it was all worthwhile.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far, you have been very generous and it has been a real encouragement and kept me going, particularly through the last few miles.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BRACE gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks again,

Dave.
