Well folks,  I didn't quite make it onto the podium. Didn't even feature in the top ten I'm afraid. Officially I came 24,083rd, clocking a just about respectable 4 hours 53 minutes and 44 seconds.

It was murder. Brutal murder. Don't let anyone tell you that it's fun. It isn't. It's damaged me. I may have to have counselling. I may never recover.

Still, thanks to your quite staggering efforts we have already raised over 5 and a half grand for the NSPCC, which means that it was very much worth doing after all.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your generosity has been quite overwhelming and massively contributed to the prolonged bout of sobbing that I experienced upon finishing the race. Let this be known. I ran all the way. I never walked once. Not one step. They can't take that away from me... even if they may have to remove my knees at some point.
