WE DID IT !!!

13/05/2009  We just want to say a big thanks to all of you for supporting us in this race to raise funds for "Hammerout" It was a difficult day for all of us in more ways than one. A harsh reminder of reality that Dave has really gone. Lauren ran with a picture of Dave printed on her T shirt which really spurred her on. The weather was good to us and the supporters keen (Pat, John, Annemarie, Molly, Daisy, Clare, Steve, Sam & Emily!) and noisy!  We were delighted to cross the finish line in just under 2hrs, a great effort for Lauren's first half marathon, and Loz, running in agony on an injured ankle. Thanks too, to Will and Faith for joining us. We will never stop thinking about Dave and endeavour to continue to raise money for this worthy cause in memory of a truly lovely brother and son.

8/04/09: 5 days till race day. All hopefull Loz's ankle holds up. Last chance to get your pledges in. Can't believe fund raising response it's been amazing.....a very very big thanks you to all. Will be back with full post race info and hopefully some pictures! 

Update 10/04/09: Training going reasonably well despite Loz's set back with an ankle injury!

RICH, LAUREN AND LOZ are running the GREAT WEST RUN on Sun 3rd May in memory of Dave Lauren's uncle who sadly passed away in Oct 08 from a brain tumour!

This will be Lauren's first attempt at the distance whilst Rich and Loz are more seasoned, but rather rounder runners. All money raised will go direct to Hammerout to further raise awarness of Brain Tumours(see opposite).
