Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for the RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution. On Sunday 5th October 2008 I'll be pounding 13.1 miles worth of streets from Newcastle to South Shields on this years Great North Run in the hope of raising lots of cash for this life saving volunteer service. It's also to say a personal thank you for coming to my aid following a sailing accident off Abersoch in September last year. You can read more about that particular incident here... http://www.hursthouse.eu The volunteer crews of the RNLI give up their own free time to be trained and on hand when things go amiss at sea. But their services are not just there for sea farers and water sports enthusiasts... Between January and May 2008 the Abersoch crew alone had been out on four separate occasions to people walking on the beach who found themselves cut off by rising tides! http://www.rnliabersoch.co.uk/callout_files.htm The RNLI's equipment and training depends entirely upon charity funding, so please dig deep... You never know when you or someone you care about might need them! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Dave.
