Cuba Cycle Ride · 22 August 2008

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I'm doing another charity bike ride in March 2009, this time in Cuba. My Nile cycling buddy Doug Freeman will be joining me again on this one, which is approximately 240 miles over 5 days, with pot-holed roads and extra mountains to make things more challenging. (See http://www.skylineoverseas.co.uk/cycle-cuba.aspx for info - and there are still places left if you fancy joining us !)

As before, I am raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society - you can find out more at their website www.alzheimers.org.uk. The previous Nile Cycle Challenge I did in February 2007 raised a total of over £150,000 for the society - so thanks to my many previous sponsors and please be generous again if you can!

You can sponsor me via this web page. Please note that all of the money raised goes to the Alzheimer's Society, as I have paid all of my owntravel costs.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thanks, Dave.
