I'm going scuba-diving with Sharks - ten foot-long, sand tiger sharks with over two hundred and fifty teeth each (and no cage to protect my meaty carcass!) - to raise money for Henshaws Society for Blind People.
HSBP is a leading edge charity for blind people of all ages across the North of England. They provide care and support for visually impaired people where it is needed most.
My company, fifthlevel.com, design promotional material for many of Henshaws' fundraising events - this challenge is my chance to 'give a bit back' - hopefully not an arm or leg! Every donation makes a difference to the visually impaired people HSBP support, who just want to live ordinary, independent lives.
I'm doing the PADI Shark Awareness and National Geographic Diver Programme on Saturday 17th February 2007.
The dive is taking place not in The Bahamas or South Africa, but in a giant fish-tank 30 miles away at 'The Blue Planet Aquarium' in Ellesmere Port!!! I'm paying for the dive myself - your donation goes to the Charity.
Please sponsor me and support HSBP. Thank you.
Dave
