‘Help for Heroes – Sponsored Tattoo’

Hi everyone my name is Dave, and this is my idea to raise some money for a worthwhile charity.  It all started a while back when I was thinking I would like to do something for charity but wasn’t sure what to do.  My partner suggested the ‘Help for Heroes’ charity, she knows it makes me feel very sad when I watch the news or read newspapers saying that another soldier has died or been injured whilst serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. 

Great, a fantastic idea I thought, having family members currently serving in the HM Forces I would like nothing more than to raise money to help in providing support for wounded servicemen and women injured during the course of their duty.  All I needed was a unique sales pitch. 

After much deliberation I have decided to have a sponsored tattoo of the ‘Help for Heroes’ logo across my back. The logo comprises of an injured soldier being carried by two soldiers on a stretcher, the words ‘Help for Heroes’ underneath and the medal to the side.

The tattooing will take place on the 25th of September 2010.

The tattoo artist as kind-heartedly chosen to provide his services for free (I think he just likes inflicting pain).

 

So all that’s left for me to say is please give as much or as little as you can, I would really like to raise £1000, that would be great but if I can get more then even better.  Please give generously.  Thank you very much   (photos to follow)
