We're a thriving parent-run charity for children with Down's Syndrome and their families in South London. Our unique free early intervention therapy service helps young children (0-6 years) with their physical, language and emotional development, giving them essential skills for daily living.

Story

Hi Everyone

As some of you will know, 18 months ago I agreed to join Iain Whiteley and John Macpherson on a trek to the North Pole. We will be "man-hauling" our own sleds 350 miles in 28 days from Resolute Bay in Canada to the magnetic North Pole.

I have looked long and hard for a charity whose work will help inspire me during some of the challenges ahead. Downs South is a charity that directly improves the lives of children with Downs Syndrome and their families by helping them to develop the skills they need to integrate into today’s society. Most of us can only imagine the challenges faced by these kids and their families and I for one was surprised by the lack of support provided by the state in this area.

I appreciate times are tough but any donation that can help these kids face the challenges ahead in their lives would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Down's
South London gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Many Thanks

David
