Story

Thank you for visiting David, Adam, Ian & Liam's fundraising page. We are asking that you please dig deep and sponsor our efforts online.

We are running in the Lady Godiva Half Marathon in Coventry on 21st October, 2007 and we are raising funds for Maria's Charity in the hope that we can achieve something positive from our loss of our precious Maria.

Maria was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 16th June, 2005.  She became very ill, very suddenly, on the night of the 8th July, 2005 and she left us on the 9th July, 2005, 3 days after her 17th birthday.

Maria's courage and dignity  is a great inspiration to us and we hope to honour her memory by completing this challenge, whilst raising awareness of the devastating illness that is Leukaemia and helping to support the building of the new Teenage Cancer Unit at  Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

David, Adam, Ian & Liam.
