Asics Wilmslow Half Marathon 2009 · 29 March 2009 ·

Our belief in health as a basic human right drives everything we do. That’s why we work with remote and marginalised communities to find sustainable solutions. We are African-led and therefore our understanding of the communities we work with, and the health challenges they face, is unparalleled.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

***UPDATE: As most of you will know, I injured my knee while training and was unable to take part in the race. I'll be running the Great North Run on 20th Sept in order to fulfill the generous pledges you've made.***

Caroline's Mum, Sue, is heavily involved with AMREF, a fantastic health development organization supporting health programmes and training health professionals in Africa. I have pledged to run the Wilmslow Half Marathon for AMREF and Sue has generously donated £1,000. I have only one week to see how close I can come to matching that donation. That's where you come in. Please, please donate as much as you can today and let's go fundraisin' crazeeee. If you're really generous, I promise to try and beat my own personal best (1hr 36m).

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: African Medical and Research Foundation, UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now! Thanks so much for your generosity, David
