Mercy Corps is working in India to build community collaboration and fulfil dire health and economic needs.  Through their partners, families and communities in the rural villages of Darjeeling are being helped to reduce waterborne diseases; to strengthen the capacity of community groups and to enhance the leadership skills of youth.   Through current programmes, the livelihoods of over 18,000 people in 42 communities are being improved through better schools and water systems.
