This year The Manheim Auctions Cycle Team are holding their annual Tour de France charity cycle event, we are venturing down to the South of France to ride stages 4 and 5 of the 2009 Tour before the teams do the event in July. Stage 4 is a gentle warm up and consists of a 38km Time Trial around Montpellier on Saturday 6th June followed by Stage 5 on Sunday 7th June consisting of 197kms from Cap de'Agde to Perpignan. This on top of a 40km plus training ride on Friday 5th June. So please give generously to the riders who this year are from Manheim: Hayley Warrington, Jim Ashbridge, Alex Wright, Nigel Paling, Matt Davock, Paul Hill, Simon Joyce, Tony Long and Dave Anthony. From VRS: Jamie Scott, Matt Lewis and Lewis Arthur, along with our valued customers, Adrian McCarthy RAC Head of Inspections, Chris Shambrook Ford Motor Company, Kevin Swallow from Commercial Motor and Phil Bastow, Paul Owens, Michael Schneidau and two riders who came with me on the very first ride Mark Lewin and Steve Gilbertson, plus of course "The Doc" from Nottingham Queens Hospital. We shall be ably supported by Scott Butcher and Andy Paine from Ashington Autos and Perkins Garages respectively, Dave Berry,Rob McCarthy and Gordon Weller, Thanks guys.
