Project Riandu plans on building a school for deaf children in Riandu, Kenya. Currently there are 71 primary schools for deaf children, but only 5 secondary schools. A group of volunteers are going to help with stage 1 of the project, to start the building process which in the end will provide education for up to 200 students.

I am very excited to get involved in such a worthwhile project. There is a serious lack of secondary education available to deaf children especially in the eastern province of Kenya. This project looks at combating this issue with the construction of a secondary school. I am thrilled to be part of the team involved in the first phase of the build. I am also looking forward to visiting Kenya for the first time and experiencing the culture.
