During November 2009 I have signed up to take part in BHS Challenge Ride in India with a group of other horsemen/women.  We will be riding the local Marwari breed of horses.  The Ride takes about 10 days and covers all terrains ranging from farmland to semi-desert with some nights in camp.

I am doing this to raise funds for the BHS Welfare Department who respond to more than 30,000 welfare related enquiries each year.  BHS Welfare has many roles including training, advises on Government consultations, awarenes campaigns on Ragwort (a poisonous weed) and infectious diseases, education in the care of horses and ponies as well as being involved in the rescue and rehoming of abused horses and ponies.
