Camelot Kilimanjaro Community Challenge · 6 June 2007 ·

We’re the National Deaf Children’s Society. We're the charity for deaf children with any level of hearing loss. Whatever the question or challenge, we’ll help find a way through. We believe in a world where anything is possible for deaf children.

     BUT PLEASE KEEP DONATING!!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has donated money to the NDCS. You have all been very generous and your contributions will help enormously.

UPDATE: Made it to Stella Point after a gruelling seven hour slog to the top. Please keep donating - the money we have raised for Light In Africa and the NDCS is used for vital work.

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE...

I have set myself the challenge to raise £3,500 with a combined team target of £50000 for the National Deaf Children’s Society! To raise this money I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m (19,340 feet). I will undertake six hard days of trekking, pitching my tent at the end of each day and battling altitude sickness as I go. I will also be working on a local community project that cares for sick, disabled and abandoned babies and children: the Light of Africa project. We will help them with vital building work to improve the condition of their home. It will be tough, physical work but will make a real difference to the children’s lives.

By sponsoring me online you will help the NDCS create a world without barriers for every deaf child.

WHY DONATE?

I've donated £875, but before they let me go I've got to raise another £875 in charitable donations for the National Deaf Children's Society. Every pound donated will be matched by my employers, Camelot, making every pound worth two and ultimately helping me to achieve a target of £3500.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Deaf Children's Society will receive your money faster and will be able to do more for deaf children and their families sooner.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
