Land's End to John O'Groats Cycle Challenge · 16 May 2007

Provides free therapeutic wellbeing holidays and secure online support for young adults (over 18 and diagnosed before the age of 30) living with and beyond cancer from the UK and Ireland. Helping support young people through their journey with cancer.

Story

Hello all

Starting on July 7th, I will begin the challenge of attempting to cycle the entire length of the UK.  I will be doing this together with my friend Neil and we will start at Land's End on the South West coast of England and cycle a total of 954 miles (1,545km) to John O'Groats on the North East coast of Scotland.   We intend to complete this within 14 days, cycling an average distance of 68 miles (110km) per day.

Whilst doing this, I have decided to try to raise some money for charity and have chosen to support YCT (Youth Cancer Trust).  This charity provides free, fun activity based holidays for young people (aged 14 to 25) suffering with cancer or any malignant disease from anywhere in the UK or who are patients of any UK hospital. For more detailed information on the sorts of activities it provides, please visit www.yct.org.uk

Any donations which you would like to make towards this charity would be gratefully appreciated by both myself and the charity concerned.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way for you to sponsor me.

Many thanks in advance for you support

David
