Kisharon Langdon offers education, opportunity and support for people within the Jewish learning disability and autism community throughout life’s journey. The education and supported living services, innovative social enterprises and employment support services enable everyone we support to thrive.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 28 November 2008, I will (for the 4th time since 2004) be participating in the Israeli national triathlon championships in Eilat, racing in the Olympic distance race (1.5km swim, 40km bike and 10km run).

The drive and motivation for training for, and racing in, such an event is to help raise money for the wonderful Kisharon charity.

Kisharon was established in 1976 with the opening of a day school to cater for the education and welfare of children with moderate to severe learning disabilities.

Kisharon's services have grown to encompass an integrated nursery, a vocational training centre for adults, a dedicated autistic provision and a residential home.

Kisharon has succeeded in creating a multi- purpose environment for adults with special needs that includes an art and music studio, therapy rooms and, specifically for autistic students, a multi-sensory room.

The charity's vocational units consist of workshops designed to ensure the safety and productivity of people with learning disabilities.
