Story
I am doing the half Ironman, dubbed the Cottonman by some of my friends for purely selfish reasons. But I have wanted to raise some money for a charity for a while and raising money for a cancer charity was an obvious choice for me. Just after I was born my grandma, on my mothers side, died of cancer and with in a few months my Mum was diagnosed with Lung cancer. Luckily she pulled through and now, 32 years later, puts me to shame in the fitness stakes.
Recently Rob, who talked me into doing the Ironman event, found out that his mum has cancer, a friend at work is recovering from cancer treatment and another has just heard that his mum has been given the all clear only to hear weeks later that his father has been diagnosed with cancer. On top of all this a few of our key customers have also lost staff or loved ones to cancer in the last few months. It just seems to be everywhere right now.
If you feel able to donate to my chosen charity that would be great if not and you would like to donate to another cancer charity that would be just as good.
Thanks
