Llanberis MRT is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity we rely entirely on your donations.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  Over 24 hours (I hope) on the 21st/22nd August I'm doing the 3 peaks challenge  - Ben Nevis (4400 ft), Scafell Pike (3208 ft) and Snowdon (3559 ft).

So my pain isn't in vain I've chosen to raise money for the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.  They are entirely run by volunteers who give up their spare time 24/7 to deal with incidents ranging from a sprained ankle on a footpath to difficult and dangerous rescues getting badly injured climbers off big cliffs.  This all done without any government funding - all rescue kit and first aid supplies are bought from public donations.  It would be great if you could sponsor me so this vital life saving work can continue.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
