The MS Trust is a charity which works with and for the 100,000 people in the UK with MS. Our vision is to enable people with MS to live their lives to the full. We provide information that is tailored to what people want to know; education for health professionals about what people with MS need; research into better management of MS; support for anyone affected by MS.

My story

If you've gotten this far, you're probably already familiar with my dual obsessions -- great kids media and distance running. Seldom, however, do I get a chance to combine them, so imagine how thrilled I was when Greg Childs of Save Kids TV noted that Showcomotion 2008 dovetailed perfectly with the British 10k.

Running is inherently a selfish pursuit, but the British 10k offers me the opportunity to do good by doing well. One of the official race charities is the MS Trust, a cause close to Greg's heart. I am very pleased to repay just a small fraction of what Greg has given to me, and to UK and global kids media, by running the 10k for the Trust.

I hope you'll dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: MS Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Now, all I have to do is decide whether to race the 10k (and try to beat my current PR of just over 42:00), or take it slow and take in one of my favorite cities!
