This rather grainy photo which looks like a failed Baywatch audition actually marks 25 years of running. Taken on a piping hot day with even hotter sand (that's why I'm sprinting) in July 1983, in the South of France this young man still carried a comb and significantly less weight. To mark this 25th anniversary I'm running in the Sunshine Fun Run on 2nd July at the Quayside Newcastle. My aim is to raise £250 for the Sunshine Fund a charity that works to enhance the lives of disabled children. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Sunshine Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. David
