Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
During the week beginning 18th October I shall be taking part in a group trek through a remote and mountainous part of Jordan, using often vertiginous trails known only to local Bedouin people. Perfect. I don't much like camping or getting lost and I have a fear of drops. Why would I sign up for this? Well, for a start there's a rumour that this remote route leads eventually to Petra.
The more important reason is to raise money for a wonderful charity called The Mulberry Centre (www.themulberrycentre.co.uk). The Centre, which is based in Isleworth, Middlesex, has helped hundreds of people affected by cancer to understand and come to terms with their condition and to get on with running their daily lives. The Mulberry Centre opens its doors to about 300 new users each year. It relies on charitable donations to meet 90% of its costs.
Please give whatever you feel like giving - your donation will help spur me on through the next few weeks' training treks (so far more wet and windy than dry and dusty.) Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Mulberry Centre gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
